1. CENELEC standard> The European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization. A body developing electrotechnical standards for the Single European Market / European Economic Area in order to reduce internal frontiers and trade barriers for electrotechnical products, systems and services. CENELECs 19 member countries and 11 affiliate countries aim to adopt and implement the required standards, which are mostly identical to the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC standards. CENELEC works in co-operation with ComitÚ EuropÚen de Normalisation CEN and European Telecommunications Standards Institute ETSI.
